Selected Recent Work > MAMA Drawings 2021-Present

An ongoing series of devotional drawings, and a daily practice, created with the intention of offering protection and love to my ill mother when the pandemic prevented our physical connection. The series has expanded over the last two years to include offering help and protection to all mothers facing difficulty and when assembled in specific ghastly numbers, as an homage and memorial to those victimized by gun violence.

The word MAMA is hidden in each piece as both a tribute and a signature. All are gouache and colored pencil on Champion SCORE KEEPER shooting targets.
